Mac Miller passed away on September 7, 2018.

In what is being reported as a suspected overdose, the star was found dead in his Californian home just after 12pm.

After his death, came an onslaught of comments blaming his ex, Ariana Grande for the death of the star. Labelling her a “horrible person” for leaving him in his time of need and then, for moving on to Pete Davidson, who the star is now engaged to.

And although a woman should never be blamed for her partner’s mental health, Mac Miller also had a drug and alcohol addiction which couldn’t be treated by anyone besides himself.

Yesterday, Mac Miller’s close friend, Shane Powers reiterated these words on his podcast, The Shane Show, explaining just how incredible Ariana Grande actually for the star on his journey to sobriety.

“They were very much in love and I have to say, she was incredible when he was first sobering up,” revealed Shane.

Continuing he said:

“She was a f*cking G to him. There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Ariana.

“There was no-one in his life more ready to go to the wall for him when it came to him being sober.”

After the 26-year-olds death, the God Is A Woman star uploaded an image of the rapper to Instagram without any caption. Paying a silent tribute, the star was forced to disable her comments due to the hateful messages she was receiving in her time of mourning.

Ariana posted this image one day after the star’s death.
