It was the money fight.
And even though Conor McGregor lost to Floyd Mayweather in his boxing debut, he didn’t disappoint us.
Many didn’t even believe that Conor would be able to hit the champion boxer – but he proved those people wrong in the first three rounds.
Around the sixth round, you could see that McGregor’s cardio wasn’t up to scratch, and that’s where Mayweather took advantage – walking him down and throwing right hooks.
McGregor says had he changed his prep for Mayweather it would’ve been the easiest fight of his career.

However, now that all has been said and done, Conor believes that he’d beat Floyd in a rematch.
Speaking at a Q&A in Glasgow last night, Conor answered many questions posed to him about the fight, and even though it wasn’t a televised event, many people were tweeting throughout the night.

Reporter Chisanga Malata tweeted, “McGregor says he’d beat Mayweather in a rematch.”
Chrisanga basically tweeted everything Conor said throughout the night, including that he’s looking for a boxer to fight in MMA, and another bout by the end of the year could be an option.
McGregor is still annoyed with the stoppage in his loss to Mayweather.
