Pop sensation Miley Cyrus has announced that she will host this year’s MTV VMA awards.
The 22-year-old doesn’t do anything by halves and revealed the news in a typically outlandish way, dressed as an alien with a sandwich board. Sure why not?

“F**k yeah VMAs!!!!! #VMAs on @MTV Aug 30 at 9pm,” she wrote to her Twitter followers, accompanied by a picture with the message “MTV won’t let me perform… So I’m hosting this year’s VMAs.”
The news comes just two years after Miley shocked viewers with her risque twerk-fest alongside Robin Thicke at the flagship awards show.
The twerk that was seen around the world.
Miley was just 15 when she attended her first VMAs in 2008, where she was up for Best New Artist against Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
Last year she made headlines when she offered up her acceptance speech time to her homeless date Jesse Helt to talk about homelessness in LA.
The star won Best Video for Wrecking Ball at the VMAs 2014.
We will definitely be tuning in for this one.
