Coronation Street actress Alison King has reportedly asked show bosses for more security due to fears of a female stalker.
Alison, who plays Carla Connor in the hit soap, is said to be unnerved following an incident where the woman in question turned up to one of her recent public appearances.
During an event at the Southport Flower Show, Alison was confronted with her stalker who pushed through the crowd to get to her. According to reports, she rambled and behaved erratically before security stepped in.
Alison is thought to have asked show bosses to step up the show’s security measures
“This woman is a regular at the show studio and often waits by the gates,” a source told The Sun.
“She seems to be obsessed with Alison and has been repeatedly warned by police and our security staff to back away. Her behaviour has grown more intense and Alison is very distressed. The worry is the woman will find out where she lives.”
