Coronation Street Star Reportedly Declared Bankrupt

Coronation Street regular Ryan Thomas, who plays Jason Grimshaw, has been reportedly been declared bankrupt.

According to the Daily Mirror and Breaking News, the 29-year-old actor’s financial troubles began over an unpaid tax bill.

The actor, who was previously in a relationship with his co-star Tina O’Brien and shares a four-year-old daughter Scarlett with her, earns about £90,000 a year according to reports.

He has been with Coronation Street for almost 13 years now and has just renewed a one year contract with the show.

A petition by HM Revenue and Customs apparently declared Thomas bankrupt just last week.

As of yet, the actor has not commented on his financial situation.
