Alan Halsall and Lucy-Jo Hudson have split for a second time after nine years of marriage.

The soap stars met on the set of Coronation Street in 2002 and married in 2009.

They previously announced their separation in 2016 but reconciled a few months later.

They have one daughter together, four-year-old Sienna Rae.

The Sun reports that Halsall and Hudson spent the past few months building their “dream home” but that they are now living apart.

Halsall, who has played Tyrone Dobbs on Coronation Street for the past 20 years, also joked that he was “having a mid-life crisis.”

A source told the publication:

“It’s very amicable but they’ve decided to go their separate ways.

“Alan’s been joking that he’s having a mid-life crisis and he went and treated himself to a brand new car five days ago. It’s a difficult time for both of them.

“They’re devastated the marriage is over but have vowed to stay friends. They still really care for each other.”

Hudson, who played Corrie’s Katy Harris from 2002-2005, went on to star in ITV’s Wild At Heart. She also had a recurring role in Doctors in 2016.

Earlier this year, Halsall went on a lads holiday to Marbella and bought himself a new Mercedes.

He also took to Twitter some months ago to announce that he had gotten hair implants.

The Sun‘s source said that Halsall was “… referring to Lucy as his ex-wife and joking about having a mid-life crisis. He seemed in pretty good spirits, though.”
