Corrie’s Kym Marsh reveals 10 year fan stalking ordeal

Kym Marsh has said that she was stalked by a fan for 10 years.

The Coronation Street star has revealed that she was harassed for a decade and sent pornographic images through the post - some of which were received by other soap stars. Writing in her OK! Magazine column, Marsh empathised with Christine Lampard, whose stalker Christof King was recently warned he could face jail time if he continued to harass the host. Marsh said:

“I really feel for Christine – who I’ve met when I’ve appeared on Loose Women – and who is genuinely a lovely person. “I hope she’s all right. Things like this happen all too frequently, like the time a man sent porn hate mail to me and a few other soap stars. “He was sentenced and isn’t allowed to contact any of us again. That was quite scary and nasty."

Her youngest daughter - six-year-old Polly - was included in the accounts. Marsh also had someone else pretending to be her online. This facade went so far that the person actually sent flowers to her house as he believed that had been talking. She said:

“I also had someone send flowers to my home address after he was convinced we were chatting. "He was actually duped by someone else who was pretending to be me, so he thought he was talking to me.”

Marsh has portrayed Michelle Connor in the ITV soap since 2006.
