Royal protocol sounds extremely complicated and in fairness, we can see how it would be difficult to follow all the rules, all the time. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended Easter services at St George's Chapel on Sunday but they were late. According to royal rules, the Queen should always be last to arrive but on this occasion, it was Kate and Wills who were late into the chapel. Of course, the delay was out of their hands as there were roadworks on the M4 and understandably, there wasn't much they could do about that.

It's thought that the service began at 10:45 and they arrived shortly after that but much has been made of the fact that royal protocol dictates that everyone should be there before the Queen. According to Hello, the couple and their children, George and Charlotte, had been celebrating Easter at the home of Kate's parents which meant travelling from Bucklebury, Berkshire to Windsor Castle for the ceremony. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were noticeably absent from the royal gathering and it's thought that their Easter plans were kept "private". With Kate and William's third child due this month and the royal wedding taking place on the 19th May, there's great attention surrounding the royal family at present.
