Ed Sheeran is to host this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards alongside Orange is the New Black star Ruby Rose.
The popular singer took to his Twitter account to announce the news this evening and his fans have gone into meltdown.

Sunday, 25th October, is the date for this year’s EMAs, which will take place in the Mediolanum Forum in Milan.
Ed has been nominated in a number of categories at this year’s awards including Best UK and Ireland Act, Best Male, Best Live Act and Best World Stage.
One of his best pals, Taylor Swift, has nine nominations with Bad Blood getting three shouts alone.
