Did you spot him?

Ed Sheeran was spotted out and about in Dublin this week ahead of his Late Late Show appearance.

The singer-songwriter was spotted in the capital’s Hacienda Bar on Wednesday night.

The 26-year-old posed for a photo with the owner, Shay, which was shared on social media on Thursday morning.

They captioned the pic:

“Great to welcome Ed Sheeran back to the Hacienda last night!”

The Galway Girl singer will be joining Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show this week where, beyond the usual interview, it’s thought he will be tackling a Christmas classic.

Ed will be playing a cover of the Pogues and Kirsty McColl’s Fairytale of New York.

But – like his recent BBC Radio One Radio Live Lounge performance – there’s set to be a slight change to the lyrics.

Earlier this week, Ed was joined by singer Anne-Marie and trad band Beoga for a performance of the iconic Christmas song.

During the broadcast, the lyrics “you cheap lousy f****t” were changed to “you cheap lousy blaggard”.

And Ed opened up about his nerves over covering the song during an appearance at BBC Radio One’s Live Lounge this week.

He said:

“It’s a cover that you shouldn’t really touch… I’m going to get murdered for doing this.”

But from the looks (and sound) of things, the studio was quick to get into the festive spirit.

After performing Fairytale of New York, Ed and Anne-Marie broke out into a Jingle Bells sing-song.
