People only just realising Emily in Paris star Lily Collins is a nepo baby

The Emily in Paris star has a very famous dad

She may have risen to fame after landing roles in movies like Stuck in Love, Love, Rosie, and Mirror Mirror but Collins was familiar with Hollywood from a young age.

The actress is the daughter of music legend Phil Collins and her parents had her starring in projects from the age of two. Her first big role was in the BBC series Growing Pains.

Before we knew her as the protagonist in Emily in Paris, Collins was starring in major Hollywood films like The Blind Side.

She was also modelling regularly from a very young age.

Speaking about growing up in Hollywood, the British actress said she didn't want to follow in her father's footsteps entirely.

She told Elle: "I love to sing. But as I wanted to make my own way, far from the paternal genius, I preferred to be an actress.

"I played in a few musicals because it’s the only setting in which I allow myself to sing. Frankly, I would be too afraid of comparisons!" she confessed.

Her father may be music royalty but Collins said she put so much effort into perfecting her craft.

"By dint of failed castings, I learned to focus more on my work, and I managed to make acting my job.

"But I’m not resting on my laurels. This environment is very competitive and places are expensive," she said.

The actress is currently starring as Emily Cooper in the Netflix hit Emily in Paris.

The show, now in its fourth season, has become one of the most-watched series on Netflix this year.

Part two of the fourth season lands on Netflix on September 12th.
