Emmerdale’s Michelle Hardwick has announced that she has gotten engaged to her girlfriend, producer Kate Brooks.
The actress – who plays Vanessa Woodfield on the long-running soap – shared their happy news on Instagram with a photo of the two of them having a celebratory drink.
She revealed in the caption that she had been planning the proposal for “months” and that it had been “no ordinary proposal”.
She said:

Michelle and Kate, who is a producer on the show, went public with their relationship in October.
The actress took to Instagram on National Coming Out Day, October 11, to share two black-and-white photos of the two of them.
“It will all work out in the end,” she wrote alongside the photos, adding: “#behappy #loveislove”
