“Why bring a baby into it?”

Yesterday saw Love Island stars Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury welcome their first child together.

With a post on Instagram, Molly-Mae and Tommy showed off their daughter, and later, Molly Mae said that becoming a mother was the best thing that’s ever happened to her.

Needless to say, the couple were met with many messages of congratulations from their famous pals, though not everyone was quite so kind.

Jake Paul, who rivals Tommy in boxing, used the birth announcement to taunt the new dad. The pair are due to go head-to-head in the ring in Saudi Arabia next month.

Referencing their upcoming fight, the YouTuber took the comments section of their birth announcement to write: “just in time to watch your dad get knocked out”.

Fans were kick to defend the new parents.

One wrote, “Jeez man, have some taste.”

Another said: “Why bring a baby into it? Sad absolutely sad.”

Jake previously came under fire after he appeared to share the news that Molly Mae had given birth before the parents announced it officially last week.

On Twitter last week, he wrote: “Tommy has no excuses now…Baby’s born.

“Money’s massive. Immigration no issue. Tyson promises he & Papa will make Tommy retire from boxing & change his last name if he can’t beat the YouTuber.

“Tmrw I’m coming to London to look at all 3 Fury’s in the eye & shake on that promise.”

Molly announced that she was expecting her first child with an emotional video last September. She has not revealed the name of her daughter yet.

Last night, she wrote a message to her little girl which read: “I can’t believe we get to keep you forever. Becoming your mum has been the best thing to ever happen to me…”

“It doesn’t seem possible but my love for you grows with each passing moment. There is no feeling like holding you in my arms little one, my heart literally explodes.

“Thank you for entering this world safely for us and blessing us with the gift of being your parents.

“We promise to love and care for you unconditionally forever.”
