Her fans leapt to her defence.

Fans of Love Island star and popular influencer Molly-Mae Hague have come out in force, after she was accused of editing photos of her baby bump.

Molly-Mae came second in the reality dating competition alongside Tommy Fury in 2019, and they pair are now expecting their first child, a baby girl. Molly-Mae has been documenting much of her pregnancy journey with her fans, but a number of social media commenters accused her of photoshopping a picture of her baby bump.

Several took to the comments section of a recent Instagram photo which shows Molly-Mae cradling her bump while wearing a brown dress at home. There, they claimed that they could tell by the lines of the floor next to Molly-Mae that the photo had been edited.

However, a number of Molly-Mae’s fans leapt to the stars defence, with many pointing out how the design of the tile or the angle of the photo may make the background tile seem distorted.

One fan wrote: “I mean I’m pretty sure that’s just the angle of the photo but tbf the fact people have took the effort to zoom in and find weird things like this is a little odd.”

Another said: “That’s just the style of the tiles, my pal, can’t see anything edited.”

Some of Molly-Mae’s famous friends also complimented her in the comments.

Maura Higgins wrote, “Omg this is so beautiful” while Georgia Kousoulou described the photo as “beautiful”.

Earlier this week, Molly-Mae posted a video which revealed that she 34 weeks pregnant.

In a Q&A, she also hinted at the possibility of having another child. When asked what she plans on doing with her nursery room by a fan, she said: “I think it depends on how quickly we have another baby! We will either put a little bed in her room or if she’s old enough she’ll go on the top floor and we will keep the nursery the same.

“I doubt she’ll be old enough though. I’d love a two or three year age gap like me and my sister.”
