“It comes in waves”
Love Island star Faye Winters has revealed that she’s still very emotional after her split from ex-boyfriend and fellow islander, Teddy Soares.
In a recent interview with OK! Magazine, Faye said although it was her decision to end the relationship, she’s still going through a “grieving process”.
She said she was open to making the relationship work and wanted small changes to be made but said “it didn’t work out that way”.
Faye and Teddy were living together until their split back in February, but have both moved out since.
She told the magazine: “I think with any break-up and any grieving process, it comes in waves. You know, sometimes the sea is like a millpond and then all of a sudden there will be a big wave.
“There are still some days where I get really emotional, but it’s been easier to try and move on knowing there is full closure now.”
Faye explained that meeting someone new is far from a priority right now and that she has no interest in starting another relationship.
She said that her “grief” doesn’t just come every couple of days, it’s every couple of hours.
In a raw and honest conversation, the 27-year-old said it’s very difficult when someone you were so close to “becomes just a stranger”.

She was too far away from her hometown.
In the interview, Faye shared another major strain on her past relationship with Teddy.
She said moving to London was a huge shock to the system because she’s a “Devon girl, a country girl”.
The star said Teddy’s family was only around the corner but she was 2.5 hours away from all her friends and family, so she struggled.
Faye said: “Being in the house a lot on my own” was hard for her.
Teddy Soares broke his silence on the split three weeks ago when he threw a dig at his ex girlfriend.
Speaking to MailOnline, he said: “[Faye] talks about me in the press and we agreed not to, but I don’t speak about her.
“I’ve never been through a public break up before so it’s difficult seeing it everywhere and seeing things she posts and stuff online.”
He also admitted that he finds it difficult to see Faye posting pictures with their dog Bonnie since the split.
Teddy continued: “I have a voice again. I feel like I’m coming out of my shell again and going to events and going out more.
“Which is really nice.”
