Felicity Jones and her husband Charles Guard are expecting their first child together.
The Aeronauts actress’ representative confirmed the news to PEOPLE, a little more than a year after the couple tied the knot.
Jones and Guard have been together since 2015. They announced their engagement in 2017.
The news emerged a few hours after the Oscar-nominated actress – who is best known for her roles in On The Basis of Sex, The Theory of Everything and Rogue One – attended the premiere of her new movie, The Aeronauts, in New York City.
She wore a black velvet gown with white bows on the front, and wore her hair in an updo.
The Aeronauts sees Jones reunite on-screen with her The Theory of Everything co-star, Eddie Redmayne.
The description for the film reads:
“In 1862, pioneering meteorologist James Glaisher (Eddie Redmayne) teams up with daredevil balloon pilot Amelia Rennes (Felicity Jones) to advance human knowledge of the weather and fly higher than anyone in history.
“While their voyage to the very edge of existence helps the unlikely pair find their place in the world, they face physical and emotional challenges in the thin air, as the ascent becomes a fight for survival.”
The Aeronauts is out in Irish cinemas now.
