Another reason to love Amy Adams…
The American Hustle star was onboard a Delta Airlines flight from Detroit to Los Angeles when she decided to give up her first class seat to an American soldier.
39-year-old Adams then took his seat in coach for the duration of the journey.
ESPN columnist, Jemele Hill, announced the news on her Twitter, writing: “I’m an even bigger fan now.”
Unbeknownst to the actress, Hill was seated a few rows back and noticed Adams speaking to a flight attendant before switching places.
“When we were waiting to board, I saw her glance the soldier’s way and then she said something to the person she was traveling with,” Hill told NBC’s Today.
“Once we boarded, I saw she was in first class. I was upgraded to first class and she was a couple rows behind me.
“I think she must have said something to the flight attendant, because before we took off she had vacated her seat and the flight attendant brought the soldier to her seat.”
What a lady: Amy’s new seat-mate in coach snapped this selfie.
A flight attendant informed Hill that Adams, who was born on a military base during her father’s days in the service, had spoken to the soldier in private before swapping seats.
“I just thought it was incredibly classy and thoughtful,” Hill added.
