Chances are you woke up this morning to the entire world celebrating Leo’s Oscars triumph.
The awards ceremony was clouded in accusations of racism, with even Bette Middler joining in on the debate:
The Oscars are today! You know, the awards show where Leonardo DiCaprio is “overdue” but black people can “wait till next year.”

So there was genuine fear amongst Academy Award bosses that fans would boycott the show.
It seems their fears were unfounded though, with Leo breaking a whole new record thanks to his achievement on the night.
Oscar selfie from TV queen Ellen DeGeneras was the most-tweeted minute of an Oscars ever, reaching 255,000 tweets per minute back in 2014:
If only Bradley’s arm was longer. Best photo ever. #oscars pic.twitter.com/C9U5NOtGap

But Leo bagged his second title of the night when he smashed the previous record.
The internet erupted when Leo finally won Best Actor for his performance in The Revenant – generating more than 440,000 tweets per minute.
It’s all about you Leo. It’s all about you.
