Francine Cornell Claims Ronan Wanted to Marry Her

He had his say on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories a few weeks ago and now it seems Ronan Keating’s former mistress wants hers.

Francine Cornell, who had a fling with the married singer, has spoken out about her relationship with him. In fact, she has claimed that the Boyzone star wanted to marry her.

She told The Sun: “Once I asked, ‘Do you think I’ll still see your name on my phone in 20 years?’ He said, ‘In 20 years, we will be married.’ At the time it was nice and I think it’s what he believed.”

Francine met Ronan when she was a backing dancer for Boyzone.

Francine, who was a backing dancer for the boy band, also said that she didn't ask Ronan to end his 14 year marriage with Yvonne.

She explained: “I never asked Ronan to leave Yvonne. He was the one who’d bring it up. He’d say, ‘It’s you I love, you’re the one I want to be with. I love Yvonne as she’s the mother of my kids, yet I’m in love with you. But I can’t do this to my children.”

She claims that Ronan and Yvonne had grown apart.

She added that the Life is a Rollercoaster singer was going through a hard time especially with the death of his friend and band mate Stephen Gately: “His life was in tatters. He and Yvonne had grown apart, so he needed me then more than ever.”

Francine also said she is tired of people pinpointing her as the guilty party: “I have constantly been painted as the scarlet woman who ruined a perfect marriage. It couldn’t be further from the truth. The marriage was already in trouble before either Ronan or his wife knew who I was.”
