Gemma Atkinson has shared an important post about C-sections aimed at those who think the procedure is any easer than a natural birth. The actor and former glamour model said that she had been told by somebody that she was lucky to have given birth the "easy" way. " Gemma gave birth to her daughter Mia last month after suffering a considerable haemorrhage. The baby was born via emergency C section after it was discovered that she was too small to open the cervix by herself. On the 3rd one midwife Katie who was taking care of me at the time pressed the panic alarm & within 15 mins I was rushed out, prepped and delivered Mia via an emergency C section. "It wasn’t what I’d planned but thanks to my hypnobirthing despite the madness and panic, I was able to calmly keep my breathing technique and accept whatever is best for Mia just do it!" Atkinson and Strictly Come Dancing's Gorka Marquez welcomed baby Mia on July 4.
