“I love Laura but we are no longer together.”

Gary Lucy has confirmed that he is no longer in a relationship with Love Island star Laura Anderson, though they plan on co-parenting the child.

The pair met on Celebs Go Dating last year, and Laura announced that she is pregnant today.

Shortly after the announcement, Gary told The Sun that they had split up.

He said: “I love Laura but we are no longer together. My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child. I look forward to the arrival of the new baby.”

Laura, who appeared on the 2018 season of Love Island, shared the news that she’s expecting earlier today with a video on Instagram.

The video documents her growing bump, pregnancy tests and hospital visits.

Her caption reads: “Our hearts are full (…) Baby Lucy due Summer ’23.”

One photo from the slideshow features Gary in Christmas attire holding up a baby-grow that reads: “The one where we become parents. Baby Lucy due Autumn 2023.”

In the comments, the couple were met with many messages of congratulations from other Love Island stars.

Faye Winter wrote: “Congratulations beautiful (…) so happy for you.”

Paige Throne penned: “Congratulations!!”

Shaughna Phillips, who is also expecting her first child, wrote: “So happy for you darling, the best news ever.”

Laura replied, saying: “prepare for all my questions.”

The official Instagram account of Celebs Go Dating posted a series of teary-eyed emojis as well as a love heart. To this, Laura wrote “your fault” and a laughing face emoji.

Liberty Poole, Danica Taylor and Maura Higgins also wished Laura well.
