“Apart from death, I think divorce is one of the hardest, most painful things to go through.”

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale were married for 13 years before they split in 2015.

The couple, who were in a relationship for 20 years, remained relatively quiet about the divorce while it was ongoing.

Now, however, as Gavin is in the spotlight again with his gig as a judge on the Voice UK, he’s spoken candidly about it.

“[Divorce] was completely opposite to what I wanted, really not…but here we are, ” He told Fabulous magazine.

”Apart from death, I think divorce is one of the hardest, most painful things to go through.”

He added that his relationship with his children is still important. Gavin has three children with Gwen, Kingston James McGregor, 10, eight-year-old Zuma Nesta Rock and Apollo Bowie Flynn, nearly three.

“The one thing – the only good thing, because everything else is not good – is we care about the children and it’s about them. So we do everything to make this life change as seamless as possible.”

Gavin who is the lead singer of band Bush, is currently a judge on the Voice UK and his ex-wife Gwen is a voice on the US version of the show where she met her current boyfriend, country singer Blake Shelton.
