The family of Peaches Geldof have hit out at sick trolls who hacked into her Twitter account, just months after her death.

While the presenter’s account has lain dormant since she was found dead at her home in Kent in April, a link to Tumbler claiming to be about weight loss techniques was published from her profile earlier today.

The tweet has since been removed and a spokesperson for the family confirmed that the account has been compromised, saying “It’s obviously been hacked and is pretty crude”.

Peaches, who has two young sons, was found dead of a heroin overdose by husband Tom Cohen and Bob said in a recent interview that his family had “never meant to make a circus of ourselves”.

“It amazed me the impact this kid had on her generation, I’m not quite sure why either, but she was super bright, that was one of the problems unfortunately, a frantic mind, bouncing off her own internal walls, could never be still, which is of course why why you look for something to sedate you I suppose. Really from the earliest, earliest age.”
