She remembered seeing a positive symbol on the pregnancy test and just walking into the next room to tell Bader.
She explained: "It was so unexciting. I walked into the room, I threw the test down. I was like, 'Guess what?'
"He goes, 'We are?'"
Lindsay announced the news publicly by posting a photo of a baby grow that has 'coming soon' printed on it.
The actress said she feels "blessed" to be expecting her first child.
Lindsay wrote, "We are blessed and excited!" alongside the snap.
