“I was just floored by Cory.”

Glee stars have opened up about the late Cory Monteith in a new podcast, admitting they wish they had praised his acting more.

On the newest episode of And That’s What You Really Missed, Kevin McHale, who played Artie, and Jenna Ushkowitz, who played Tina, looked back on the season one finale of the show and spoke about Cory’s performing skills.

Cory was best known for playing the leading role of Finn Hudson on the hit series and sadly passed away in 2013 at the age of 31, only weeks before season five of the show was set to air.

“This whole episode, I was just floored by Cory,” Kevin said. “So good. It’s ridiculous.”

“He’s so good,” Jenna agreed.

The two then went on to share how they regretted not telling Cory how talented he was before he passed, with Kevin adding: “We’re talking about this, but what pisses me off is like he was such a good actor and I don’t think we necessarily told him that enough. And like, the things we miss out [on] getting to see him do because he’s so good.”

This is not the first time Cory’s death was addressed on the podcast as the show’s co-creator Ryan Murphy previously said on the show: “If I had to do it again, we would’ve stopped for a very long time and probably not come back.

“I would be like, ‘That’s the end’ … Because you can’t really recover from something like that.”

Cory passed away in July of 2013 from an accidental overdose and was discovered in a Vancouver hotel room when he failed to check out that morning.
