“I’ve fought every day since to get where I am today.”

Holly Ramsay, the daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, has celebrated a major milestone in her sobriety journey.

The digital creator has now been alcohol-free for two years.

On Instagram, she shared that she is feeling “grateful” to have cut out drink.

In a post, she penned: “Today marks two years since I last had alcohol.

“Two years ago today I hit rock bottom, I was terrified. I certainly didn’t think I would be where I am today both physically and mentally.

“I’ve fought every day since to get where I am today.”

She continued: “I’ve fought every day since to get to where I am today.

“I am so grateful to so many people for their support, encouragement and endless love. I will continue to learn and grow every day. I feel lucky to be able to use my voice to raise awareness and break the stigma around mental health.”

She then sent a message of love to anyone who may need it, and encouraged them to take it “one day at a time”.

Holly then went into further detail on her own Instagram page as she answered questions from fans. As for alcohol and its impact on your mental health, Holly told one follower that there is no “one size fits all” answer.

She said: “For me, cutting out alcohol has made me so much more present, I’m able to have more fun & I’m in control.”

Holly explained that alcohol and antidepressants “don’t mix well”.

“I made the decision to put my physical & mental health first,” she wrote. “It can be lonely not drinking especially at this age as it’s such a big part of our social lives…but you will find the right people who don’t even care that you’re not drinking and are just happy you’re with them.”
