Also noting that she has spoken to Selena since being in a relationship with Justin and there is no hate between the two, Selena later responded to Hailey's comments on a TikTok Live, saying those who support her should not be hateful to someone else.
"I think some of the things that I don’t even need to be aware of are just vile and disgusting. And it's not fair because no one ever should be spoken to in the manner that I've seen," Selena said.
"If you support Rare [Beauty], I cannot thank you enough, but know that you are also representing what it means and that is words matter. Truly matter. So it’s coming from me, and I just want all of you to know that I hope that you understand that this is much bigger than anything else."
Selena first began dating Hailey's now husband Justin in 2010 but the two went their separate ways in 2012, before having a brief on and off romance in 2013 and 2014. Hailey and Justin first dated in 2016 but broke up shortly after.
