Nancy Motes, the half-sister of actress Julia Roberts, was found dead at a residence in Los Angeles on Sunday .
In a statement, quoted by People magazine, the family said that the 37-year-old died of a suspected drug overdose.
It read: “It is with deep sadness that the family of Nancy Motes… confirms that she was found dead in Los Angeles yesterday of an apparent drug overdose… There is no official report from the Coroner’s office yet. The family is both shocked and devastated.”
Authorities are now said to be investigating the death of Motes who was the younger sister of Pretty Woman star Julia and Eric Roberts who is also an actor.
