Rihanna was due to perform at the Grammy Awards last night but pulled out last minute.
Rihanna was supposed to be the fifth performance of the night, with her song ‘Kiss It Better‘, from her newest album ANTI. She went through with rehearsals for the show but was forced to cancel her performance due to an illness.
According to Fox News, a rep for the star confirmed the news saying, “Based on Rihanna’s examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna’s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48-hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal chords.
“The antibiotics she has been on for 3-days did not kill the infection adequately therefore she cannot perform safely.”
She took to Twitter herself to apologise to fans.
