“He’s Already Showing an Interest in Music” Proud Dad Kian Says His Son Might Follow in His Footsteps

So it turns out that showbiz is something that really is in your genes. Why do we say this? Well Kian Egan has revealed that his son, the adorable 11-month-old Koa, is already a budding musician.

Kian and his wife, former Hollyoaks actress Jodi Albert, became parents back in December 2011 and according to them, Koa is already showing that he’s after inheriting his Dad’s talent when it comes to music.

“He’s super interested in music. I sit him on my knee when I play the piano and I play the guitar to him, but he’s definitely interested in music and he’s definitely got an ear for it,” said doting daddy Kian.

“He’s already sitting there with one finger on the key on the piano rather than just slapping all the keys with his hand. And he’s plucking the string, rather than just slapping the guitar. So he certainly has a little thing for it,” he added.

And Kian has said that he’s more than happy for little Koa to follow in his footsteps and become a music sensation.

“If it happens for him naturally that he wants to play piano and guitar then he will,” said Kian.

While Koa is just starting to learn about the joys of music, Kian has admitted that since he stepped into a broadcasting role (Kian is a TV presenter on This Morning and The Xtra Factor, and he’s a judge on The Voice of Ireland) music has become more of a hobby for him.

“I write songs, but I kind of just do them for myself, just for the fun of it. Sitting jamming with my guitar and mucking around,” said Kian.

“I might play it to a few people and go, what do you think of this, but I’m not that kind of person that needs to get out there and push my songs in people’s faces. It’s not really me,” he added.

Kian may be stepping back from the world of music but remember, you heard it here first ladies! Koa Egan could be the next big thing (eh… in a few years or so. Once he’s old enough like).
