Listen, whether it grosses you out or not, people consume their placenta. Seriously, it's a thing. And despite the fact that there has been no solid scientific proof of any benefit to it, so many women go for it anyway. In fact, the lovely Hilary Duff recently opened up about consuming her placenta in a smoothie. Hilary, who gave birth to a baby girl a few weeks ago, was chatting on Dr. Berlin’s Informed Pregnancy podcast. "It was the most delightful smoothie I've ever had," she said. To be fair now, Hilary did admit that she added LOADS of fruit to the smoothie, which may explain why it tasted good. "I haven't had a smoothie that delightful since I was like 10 years old," she said on the podcast. "It was calorie-filled with juice and fruit and everything delicious." Hilary Duff admitted that she felt a bit “wigged out” by the idea of eating her placenta at first, and we don't blame her. However, she did some research, and made the decision based off her discoveries. The actress revealed that the rest of her placenta was frozen into ice cubes, so she could have more smoothies in future. What do you think? Would you eat your placenta?
