If you’re a little bit more, ahem, retro, you’ll remember Hilary Duff. She was basically the Miley Cyrus of our generation.
Has there been a Lizzie McGuire-shaped hole in your life since Hilary took some time off to start a family? If the answer is yes, then we have some good news for you – Hilary is already planning her comeback.
E! Online reports that the actress announced on Twitter yesterday that she has just closed a deal to star in and produce an upcoming television series. Will it be a new, older version of Lizzy MaGuire? Eh…probably not, but it means that Duff will be back on our small screens once again.
Yesterday, Hilary took to Twitter and posted the following:

According to Deadline, Hilary has signed a talent and development deal with 20th Century Fox. This means that the company has to develop a comedy show FOR her. If the company fails to make a good one, Hilary will simply be cast in another comedy or drama series. So basically, it’s a career win/win for the actress. Score, right?
And, we have some more Duff-related news. Apparently getting back on television isn’t the only thing that the new mammy wants to do with her life. Back in June, Hilary revealed that she’s also been working away in the recording studio.
“I’m getting kind of nervous. Next week I have all these meetings set with different producers and writers. I’m excited to start that process and I’m so nervous,” she said at the time.
Okay ladies, if you had to pick, who would it be – Miley or Hilary?
