Holly Willoughby suffered the ultimate work mishap after finishing filming today

Jade Hayden

Been there.

If you work weird hours, you’ll be more than well aware of the trials and tribulations of pottering around the office when there’s hardly anybody around.

You’re enjoying the silence but sometimes it’s almost too quiet. You like being alone but you wouldn’t mind a few others milling around too. You feel totally safe but can’t shake the feeling that if something happened, you’d be the only one there to deal with it.

One of the other things you have to watch out for when working mad hours is making sure that you don’t get locked in.

You are just one person, and it can be super easy for somebody to not realise you’re there, shut the door, and lock up without a care in the world.

Leaving you trapped in the office.

So grim.

We are not alone though because as it turns out, even the best of us have fallen victim to such events. The best of us in this scenario being, of course, Holly Willoughby.

The presenter found herself trapped in the ITV studios earlier today, her only rescuer coming in the form of none-other than Philip Schofield.

In a video shared by Holly herself on Instagram, the presenter can be seen standing behind a door laughing while Philip lets her out.

She said: “I was stuck, I only just got out. I thought what do I do, I was banging, no one was coming, and then I thought I’d ring you. Thanks for saving me.”

Fair play, Philip.

Whatever would we do without our precious Willoughby?
