Fans of Summer Bay are about to be heartbroken… Steve Peacocke is quitting Home and Away to concentrate on cracking Hollywood. The news comes as the final scenes for Daryl ‘Brax’ Braxton have been filmed, but the soap have assured fans the actor will remain on-screen for most of this year. Peacocke’s wife and co-star Bridgette Sneddon has also wrapped up filming on the show at Christmas, and the couple plan to move to Los Angeles to work on their careers stateside. The couple plan a move to LA in the coming months Speaking about his decision to quit the popular soap, Peacocke said: “It wasn’t something I was looking forward to because I love the show and the people I work with so much. “But I think the key to any good TV series or any good storytelling is to leave the audience at the right point, and where we got to with Brax, we hit a point where it was the best point for him to exit the show. It was just the perfect time I guess.” The 33 year old has already graced the big screen with a small role in Hercules last year, but hopes his move to LA will secure him more opportunities in Hollywood.
