Singer Sam Smith has talked about his new romance, saying that he “fancies someone again”.
Speaking to Zayn Lowe of Radio One, in an interview due to be aired tomorrow, the singer said “this is the the first time I’ve felt something really amazing since the person the album was about, it’s the first time I’ve actually really fancied someone”.
However Sam, whose debut album In The Lonely Hour has earned him six Grammy nominations, said that it is very early days in the relationship.
“It’s very, very early days. I’m talking like three dates. But I fancy someone again. I haven’t fancied someone in a long time. Which is great”.

Twenty two-year-old Sam spoke about his sexuality earlier this year, revealing that his album In The Lonely Hour is about unrequited love.
“It’s about a guy that I fell in love with last year, and he didn’t love me back”.
“I think I’m over it now, but I was in a very dark place. I kept feeling lonely in the fact that I hadn’t felt love before. I’ve felt the bad things. And what’s a more powerful emotion: pain or happiness” added the singer.
