“Every parent’s worst nightmare.”
Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas have revealed their son Roman was rushed to ICU.
The mum discovered her son Roman blue in his cot. She issued a short statement on Instagram but stressed that her son was doing a lot better.
“As some of you may have noticed we haven’t been on social media lately,” the mum wrote.
“Just over a week ago I found Roman blue in his cot – probably every parent’s worst nightmare.
“Without going into too much detail it ended up with Roman being transferred to St. Mary’s London intensive care being put on a ventilator,” she shared.
The mum revealed that her boy is finally home after his hospital stay.

She added: “Thankfully we are now all home and Roman is back to his cheeky self.”
Lucy’s partner and actor Ryan Thomas shared a photo of him cradling their son in the hospital.
The dad praised the hospital staff for everything they did.
“No words can explain how grateful we are to have our little boy home safe after spending nearly a week in intensive care,” he wrote.
“As parents, it’s been one of the scariest times of our lives but with thanks to our amazing doctors & nurses we have king Roman back playing, smiling & more importantly eating,” the actor continued.
The former Coronation Street star praised the NHS and Cosmic Charity for their “unbelievable” support.
“You both really are the real-life superheroes,” he added.
Mecklenburgh has been in a relationship with the former actor since 2017.
The couple became engaged in 2019 and welcomed their son Roman on March 7, 2020.
