The Irish are well represented down under in this next clip taken from Australian TV’s, Spicks and Specks.
Jason Byrne and Damien Dempsey joined the panel on the music-themed comedy quiz show and in two short minutes Dempsey managed to ruin 20 years of street cred.
Damien was drafted into sing words from a magazine selected, ‘Stylish Doggywear’, in the melody of famous Irish songs.
From The Pogues ‘Dirty Old Town’, Thin Lizzys’ ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’ and ‘Falling Slowly’ by Glen Hansard, Dempsey can fairly hold a tune.
“If my mob see this at home, I’m finished.” We’re still here for you Damo, we are just not so sure about your new found love for zig-zag stitching though.
