Some harsh words for one of our favourite actors...

Michael Fassbender has become the latest star hit by Sony cyber hackers, where a leaked email saw the actor being discredited for a movie role.

In a second published email, Oscar-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin criticised Michael Fassbender, branding him irrelevant for the part of Apple founder Steve Jobs in a new biopic.

Replying to an email from Columbia Pictures chairman Amy Pascal and film producer Scott Rudin, the screenwriter said:

“This used to be an event. I don’t know who Michael Fassbender is and the rest of the world isn’t going to care. This is insane.”

It’s believed Fassbender was suggested for role after both Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale rejected the part.

According to reports, Sorkin, who was adapting the film from Walter Isaacson’s biography, reportedly wanted Tom Cruise to play the lead.

Sorkin later relented in the email writing:

F*** it. He’s a great actor whose time has come.”

“That’s where I ended up,” Pascal replied.

“Yeah, if the movie’s good, he’ll be on the cover of everything and get nominated for everything,” added Sorkin.

The film has since moved from Sony to Universal Pictures.

Angelina Jolie was the first celebrity that came under fire from the cyber hacking , with a scathing email released claiming that the actress wanted Fincher to drop the Jobs’ project and work on her film Cleopatra instead.
