Irish Win Big At The British Comedy Awards

The British Comedy Awards took place last night in London and we’re delighted to see that the Irish nominees cleaned up.

Moone Boy, starring Boyle funnyman Chris O’Dowd, took home the award for Best Sitcom.

Fans of Mrs. Brown’s Boys will be glad to hear that show creator Brendan O’Carroll was announced the winner of the Writers Guild of Great Britain award.

Friday nights wouldn’t be the same without Graham Norton’s brilliant wit and the Cork native was recognised for his work, winning Best Comedy Entertainment Personality.

Aisling Bea, from Kildare, has been making a name for herself on the British comedy circuit and last night, she was presented with Best Female TV Comic.
