“It’s Absolutely Brilliant” – Model Engaged After Whirlwind Romance

Model and television personality Jodie Kidd is to marry David Blakeley, an ex-soldier, whom she met in November of last year. In an interview with this week's Hello! magazine, Jodie revealed that the couple got engaged four months ago while on holiday in India. She said: "It's absolutely brilliant. We are totally chuffed and on cloud nine". David told the magazine that he is "overjoyed" about the engagement before adding: "I knew it was different from the moment I met Jodie". Jodie pictured with her husband-to-be David.  The 35-year-old model, who has walked for Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent, moved in with David weeks after meeting him leading to speculation among her friends that he could be 'the one'. In a previous interview with Hello!, Jodie gushed about David and how much they have in common. "It's been absolutely brilliant," she said. "We're very much in tune and share many of the same interests, which is lovely". Jodie was previously married to entrepreneur Aidan Butler but they split after 18 months of marriage. She also has a two-year-old son, named Indio, from her relationship with Argentinian polo player Andrea Vianini.
