Jennifer Aniston has said she would "proudly" admit if she ever "banged" David Schwimmer in the early years of Friends. The actor, who is currently starring in The Morning Show, said during the Friends reunion that she and co-star Schwimmer had crushes on each other during the first season of the sitcom, but because they were both in relationships, nothing ever came of it. Aniston has since re-affirmed her claims, stating that if anything ever happened between the pair, she would "proudly" admit to it. “We were in relationships and it was always never the right time and it wouldn’t have worked,” she told Howard Stern's Sirius XM show this week. “The beauty of that was that whatever feelings we had we just literally channeled everything into Ross and Rachel and I think that’s maybe why it resonated the way it did.” Stern, who was also joined by Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow on the show, went on to ask why Aniston didn’t “bang” Schwimmer. “He was lovely, David was great,” she said. “But no, we never did, on my life. And Courteney and Lisa would know if it did because they would’ve heard about it. They can vouch for me. “Howard’s not going to believe me! I would proudly say I banged Schwimmer if that happened. But no.” Jen and David addressed their history on the recent Friends reunion, which saw the entire cast head back to the set for some much needed reminiscing. The pair admitted that while filming the early seasons of the show, they both had "major crushes" on each other. Host James Corden asked the cast whether any off-set romances occurred on the show, to which Jen responded: “Well, I mean… David.” Schwimmer elaborated: “The first season I had a major crush on Jen.” “And I think at some point we both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship. We never crossed that boundary. We respected that." David went on: "I thought back on the very first year or two when we had breaks from rehearsal, there were moments when we would cuddle on a couch. And I’m thinking, ‘how did everyone not know that we were crushing on each other?’” Jen added: “It was reciprocal. Honestly I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television’. "Sure enough the first time that we kissed was in that coffee shop. So we just channelled all our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.”
