In a post on Instagram, Jennifer described him as “one of the most beautiful humans” she’s ever known.
Jennifer Aniston has announced the death of her father, John Aniston. He was 89-years-old.
The Friends actress shared the sad news by posting a series of photos on Instagram.
In the caption, she wrote that she was “grateful” for their time together.
It read: “Sweet papa… John Anthony Aniston.
“You were one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew. I am so grateful that you went soaring into the heavens in peace – and without pain. And on 11/11 no less!
“You always had perfect timing. That number will forever hold an even greater meaning for me now (….) I’ll love you till the end of time.”

She added: “Don’t forget to visit.”
John was born Yannis Anastassakis, and he hailed from Chania in Greece. His family moved him to the US when he was still a baby, and his name was changed to John Aniston.
Like his daughter, he also worked as an actor, and was known for his performances in Kojak, Search for Tomorrow, The West Wing Star Trek Voyager and Days of our Lives.
As well as his daughter Jennifer, he had a son named Alexander, and a step-son, John.
