Jennifer Aniston has been chatting about why there won’t ever be a Friends movie

“Maybe it’s better this way…”

It is, Jen. It definitely is.

Ever since Friends ended, there have been rumours abound concerning a Friends movie, a Friends reunion, and another Friends series, probably.

The fans think it’s what they want, what they need, and what they deserve – but lads, it’s not.

It’s really not. It would ruin everything. It wouldn’t be fun anymore. Let’s just leave it.

Jennifer Aniston seems to think the same thing too, even though she’s seemingly suggested that herself and the rest of the cast are entirely up for it.

“Our producers wouldn’t want it, wouldn’t let us,” she told Variety. “Look, it’s not been without our desire to, because our fans have wanted it so much.”

Hmm.

The Murder Mystery actor went on to say that if a movie were to appear on the cards, she isn’t sure who would and who wouldn’t want to get involved.

“It depends,” she said. “I mean, we haven’t all sat in a room.”

“But would we have loved to have done something together? Yeah. It would have been fun. We could have redesigned it for a couple episodes. But whatever. Maybe it’s better this way, but we’ll never know.”

It definitely is, Jen. It definitely is.

This comes after Friends creator Marta Kauffman pretty much shut down all rumours regarding a reboot, a film, or anything else Friends related.

“Why mess up a good thing?” she said. “We wouldn’t want a reunion to disappoint fans.”

Indeed.
