Have you been following American Idol at all? Is it just us or are the judges literally dropping like flies on that show? We bet that Simon Cowell is well pleased about this…
The Irish Sun reports that Jennifer Lopez is the latest Idol judge to announce that she is quitting the show and moving on. J.Lo’s decision came just one day after Steve Tyler from Aerosmith announced that he was leaving the show in order to focus on his music career.
The good news is that Simon Cowell and the US X-Factor will benefit from this as it means that people are more likely to tune in and watch him, Britney and Demi scrutinize the singing talents of the good ol’ U S of A. Awesome.
“I have to get back to doing things that I’ve put on hold because I love Idol so much. I feel like we had an amazing run,” said J.Lo.
“When I signed on to Idol I signed on to do it for one year, and I wound up doing two years because I just fell so in love with the show and everybody there,” she added.
Obviously that love wasn’t enough to keep J.Lo from getting back on track with her music career and spending more time with her children.
But who will take J.Lo’s place? According to reports, Charlie Sheen, Mariah Carey and Adam Lambert are rumoured to be in the running to become new judges on the show.
Now we get Mariah Carey and Adam Lambert, but Charlie Sheen? Really? REALLY?
