Jeremy McConnell has announced that he will seek shared custody of his one-year-old son Caben.

Jeremy has started legal proceedings to try to get equal custody with his ex Stephanie Davis now that he feels he’s getting his act together.

“Jeremy has worked hard the last few months to get his life back on track,” a source told The Sun.

“He always made it clear that he didn’t want to start this process until he was in a good place and now he feels like he’s in a stable position.

“It is an extremely complicated situation given his history with Stephanie but everyone’s hoping that in time he can start to be included in Caben’s life.”

Jeremy was jailed last year after assaulting Stephanie last March while she was holding their son.

He was originally handed a suspended sentence but spent 34 days inside after failing to turn up for his court-ordered community service.

Stephanie, who previously got a restraining order against Jeremy, has accused him of not caring about his son in the past.

After Jeremy wished Caben a happy birthday on social media back in January, she claimed he hadn’t even sent a card.

“As if you did you would have been there in his life – not partying and being a total disgrace,” she wrote on social media.

“No Christmas or birthday present LET ALONE A CARD so drop the act.”
