“I hope that you are proud of me wherever you are Dad.”

Irish influencer Jess Redden has officially achieved her dream of becoming a pharmacist, after she received news that she’s passed her final exams.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Jess shared the happy news, but also revealed that she is thinking of her late father, and hopes to have made him proud. Her dad Brian passed away in September 2020.

In a poem she penned on social media, she wrote: “Today I got good news that I’ve been dreaming of, but all I can help thinking is do they hear it up above?

“I like to think they can and that they’re with you all along, they’ll still celebrate your successes even though they’re gone.”

The heartfelt poem continued: “Even when you achieve your dreams it’s ok to still be sad. I hope that you are proud of me wherever you are dad x.”

In a separate Instagram story, Jess shared that her hard work has paid off after passing her final exam.

To celebrate, she shared a picture of herself with her father at her previous graduation from UCD.

“Loved this graduation photo from my UCD days,” she wrote. “Passed my final exam (…) Officially a pharmacist.”

She then paid a visit to one of the pharmacies where she did her placement, and wrote: “So lucky to have done all my placements in such lovely community pharmacies.”

Since her father’s passing, Jess has spoken about the many ways in which she honours his memory.

At her wedding to Irish rugby star Rob Kearney last December, Jess walked down the aisle holding a photo of her father in a locket on her bouquet of flowers.

At the time, she said that having him with her there in this small way gave her strength.
