Jess tested positive two days into the holiday.
Irish influencer Jess Redden has tested positive for Covid-19 while celebrating her honeymoon with rugby player Rob Kearney.
The pair tied the knot earlier this month, and jetted off to the sun to celebrate their marriage.
However, Jess has shared that it wasn’t the honeymoon they had planned as she tested positive for Covid-19 two days in.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Jess wrote: “I was taking a break from social and was in two minds about what’s been happening but like other subjects I feel it’s important to shine a light on and talk openly about.
“After two days away we got news that we were close contacts so had to isolate then my PCR confirmed I had COVID so 10 days of isolation.”
Jess wrote that she “felt every emotion”, and while it didn’t shape out to be the honeymoon they had planned, she is glad that everyone she loves is safe.

Jess went on: “I could have waited until I finished my placement but I really just wanted a break from work and a holiday with my husband post wedding!! We’re all in unchartered territory so just trying to do the best we can.”
She added that she feels awful to miss work, but acknowledged that so many others are in the same boat.
“Trying to practice what I always preach and just be gentle & kind to myself – hope you guys are all keeping safe & well,” she said.
In a post on her grid, Jess shared pictures of herself before she learned that she had tested positive.
She wrote: “Sending love to all those affected by the pandemic (each and every one of us!)
“Living through unprecedented times so all we can do is our best, let’s support each other.”
She added: “Less guilt, less shame – more love, compassion and understanding.”
