A huge congratulations is in order for comedian Joel Dommett and Hannah Cooper – they have gotten married!
The pair announced they tied the knot on Instagram, with Joel posting a picture of them during the ceremony – with Iain Stirling acting as the officiate.
Joel thanked Iain in the photo, saying: “A huge thank you to @iaindoesjokes for officiating the ceremony. You made it perfect.. and a little like I was on Love Island.”
He shared another photo of himself and Hannah walking up the aisle, writing: “BEST DAY EVER. Love you @hannah_cooper_.”
Many of Joel’s famous friends commented on the Instagram post, with Emily Atack saying: “Oh my lovely people. What a wonderful sight. Love you both.”
Angela Scanlon said: “STOP IT THIS IS PERFECTION,” while Vicky Pattison wrote: “So beautiful… both of you… all of you.”
Joel and Hannah met online in 2016 and he wrote about it in his book ‘It’s Not Me It’s Them: Confessions of a Hopeless Modern Romantic’.
“We met online a few weeks before. She sent me a cat emoji with the heart eyes when she was drunk. It’s not a great story to tell the grandkids but it’s how most people meet these days so it will have to do,” he said.
He then used the final words of the book to ask Hannah to be his wife.
Dedicating the last two pages to his girlfriend, his final words were “Will you marry me?”
