John Barrowman updates fans after emergency hospital visit

He had to pull out of a live performance last night.

John Barrowman was forced to cancel a live performance of his show A Fabulous Christmas due to a severe neck injury.

The performer was left unable to move and was rushed to hospital. However, in a late-night Instagram post, he told his fans he had multiple intraspinal injections which acts as an anti-inflammatory and he was finally able to get his movement back.

Speaking to his followers, he said: "It's about two in the morning and I've just had to wake up and take another pain killer and inflammatory. Scott says I'm going to have some small needles... and some very big ones put into my neck so I'll let you know how it goes.

"I can't really move that much that's it."

He told his followers that he has what's called a C5/6 facet joint injury and continued, "Hopefully a series of intraspinal injections will reduce inflammation and get me back up and running again in time for Monday’s show in Manchester."
