Weeks before they were expected to walk sown the aisle, John Cena and Nikki Bella decided to call it quits on their six year relationship.

The couple were expected to tie the knot in Mexico on May 5, however, it looks as if things weren't meant to be as they decided to part ways earlier this week. Many have been speculating the reasons behind their split even though it is not exactly apparent, with many thinking it was due to the fact that kids were never on the cards. Speaking to US Weekly in December 2017, Nikki Bella admitted coming to terms with her fiancé's strict view on no kids was hard. She said:

"It’s taken a lot of therapy to be OK with knowing I won’t be a mom.”

However, it looks like her former husband-to-be changed his mind just days before the split when asked if playing a parent in his upcoming hit BLOCKERS has changed his views on becoming a father. He replied: "It has, it has". While on New York Live TV, he started to imagine parenthood saying:

“I will want to know what they’re going through so I can be like, ‘Hey, one time, this happened to me and this is how I messed up. Don’t let that happen.'”

But perhaps his change of mind was just a little too late. The couple said that this decision was a difficult one and only last month, ahead of the split I caught up with the star who admitted that he works everyday at being in love. You can check out the full interview here.
